What we read

When you paste a profile link we read the public version of that profile through a third party data provider. We do not sign in as you, we do not use your password, and nothing is posted to or changed on your profile.

For a full report we also read the posts that profile has published, up to the most recent 50, so the report can say something about your content.

For a report that covers your audience, we also read the public profiles of people who reacted to those posts, and of the companies they work for, so the report can describe who engages with your content.

What we store

The profile data we captured, the analysis we produced from it, and the report itself. These are kept so you can come back to a report you paid for without us paying to capture the profile again.

A captured profile carries other people who are not you: the authors of your recommendations and the authors of posts you shared. We never sell it and we never contact anyone in it.

While we make reports, selected facts about professionals and companies, such as a professional's current role, employer, location and follower count, or a company's industry and size, may also be kept as part of LinkedCheck's Global Professional Intelligence: what LinkedCheck learns about professionals and companies over time.

Deleting or hiding a report does not erase the professional and company facts LinkedCheck has already learned while making it.

What stays private

Who engaged with your content, and how, belongs to your report and stays private to your account. We never tell another customer that a particular person appeared in your audience.

If LinkedCheck ever shows figures drawn from many customers, they will describe large groups only, never an individual, and only when a group is large enough to protect the people in it.

What we do not do

We read the public version of your profile. Nothing is posted, changed, or sent to anyone.

Your report is private to your account. We never tell another customer who engages with your content.

We do not sell profile data and we do not contact your network.
